Madison Wanamaker, Student Teacher

Madison instantly fell in love with the studio mirrors and floors, the ballet slippers and tap shoes!  For the last 8 years Madison has been studing at The Dance Company under Dana Timko, in Ballet, Tap and Jazz.  Countless hours of conditioning and practices and she has grown into the dancer she is today. While she still strives to keep learning, growing and becoming a stronger dancer, she has also made so many memories and some of her best friends along the way.  Throughout the last couple of years, Madison has been a part of the competition team where she has traveled near and far to compete against other dance companies, earning Gold to Diamond awards and trophies, all while having fun!  Through the competition circuit she received a scholarship and studied at The Grier School for a summer dance intensive focusing on modern and contemporary dance.  She participated in a ballet intensive at Allegheny Ballet last summer as well as recevied a scholarship for the next summer intensive ballet, where she looks forward to attending.   Madison was also given the opportunity to help Miss Dana teach the younger dancers in their classs the last three dance seasons, where she feels privileged to be a part of their learning and growing as dancers.  There is not a moment in the day where she is not dancing.  From the studio to her bedroom she constantly is practicing to improve herself as a dancer.  She is excited and driven by her passion of dance.  Dancing has given her strength, taught her a way to express herself and given her the confidence in her everyday life.  She looks forward to more experiences and opportunities in the future.
